TMS Consulting has recently supported the establishment of the Remote Indigenous Land and Infrastructure Program Office which has been established to remove impediments to housing investment and a range of other social and economic development opportunities in discrete Indigenous communities arising from the lack of serviced land; limited coordination of available government assets and cross-agency capital works planning; and limitations in land use planning and land administration. Over the next five years, development in Indigenous communities will be made much easier. On 28 October, the Premier announced the establishment of the Office in Parliament, noting its role in addressing the complexities of native title and infrastructure issues in remote Indigenous communities. TMS has been proud to be part of this work and hopes to continue to working in the Indigenous space in Queensland and nationally.
