Paula is a Registered Psychologist with over 20 years’ experience specialising in sleep, fatigue and shift work. During this time, she has provided consultancy services to a wide range of corporate, government and community organisations, undertaken leading scientific research, and operated a clinical practice for individuals experiencing sleeping problems.
Paula has worked extensively with clients in a variety of 24/7 industries, including mining, oil and gas, rail and road transport, manufacturing and telecommunications. She has also worked with typically non-shift working organisations like law firms and government departments whose roles require light vehicle driving or working extended hours. Paula’s consulting work has involved conducting fatigue risk assessments and fatigue risk management system gap analyses, developing fatigue risk management processes, policies and procedures, and she is particularly passionate about developing and delivering fun, engaging and effective fatigue management and sleep management training programs.
