For the last three years TMS Consulting and our team have been bringing in our pre-loved business attire to the office for a cause close to our hearts. That cause is Dress for Success.
Dress for Success is a not-for-profit organisation that exists to remove barriers to overcome discrimination, empowering women, through building confidence and providing the tools and skills to take charge of their lives and create a brighter future.
This October, TMS Consulting is proud to again support Dress for Success as we hold a clothes drive to help make a difference for disadvantaged women looking for work.
Sue Maher who is championing the cause in the Brisbane office explains why Dress for Success continues to be so well supported by the team.
“TMS participates in a number of initiatives throughout the year to support the community and donate to causes close to our hearts. I’d say Dress for Success is particularly special”.
“A significant portion of the team at TMS are women and quite simply, we understand the challenges and hurdles women can face while looking for employment. It gives us great pride to be able to give back and support a cause that empowers women who are looking for work and the financial independence that comes with that”.
The TMS Dress for Success Clothes Drive will be open for one month until 31 October 2015. Suggested donations include ‘gently used’ or new items such as:
- Suits
- Dresses
- Skirts
- Shirts/blouses
- Shoes
- Scarves
- Handbags
- Belts
- Unused make-up
- Wet wipes
- Deodorant
