TMS to Sleep at the ‘G

Sleep_MCG_Logo_180_webTMS is delighted to announce that we will be heading along to the Melbourne Cricket Ground on Thursday, May 21 for Melbourne City Mission’s annual Sleep at the ‘G fundraising initiative.

Our Melbourne team of CEO Helen Wood, Director of Governance and Strategy Brodie Woodland and Senior Consultant Mark Kane will brave the cold overnight in the iconic stadium with just cardboard to sleep on and soup and bread rolls for dinner.

It is all in the name of a good cause, raising much needed funds for Melbourne City Mission as they look to help young people break the cycle of disadvantage and isolation.

TMS CEO Helen Wood, who is involved in assisting vulnerable youth as Chair of the Brisbane Youth Service, Carina Youth Agency and Youth Emergency Services in Queensland, expressed TMS’s commitment to participating in the event.

“We are very proud to be participating in our first Sleep at the ‘G in support of Melbourne City Mission.”

“Obviously improving the lives of homeless and at risk youth is something not just close to my heart, but the whole team at TMS, and we look forward to doing all we can to raise as much money as we can to assist this fantastic organisation to continue doing the amazing work they do.”

Did you know that over 6,000 young people have no place to call home or go, every night in Victoria? They’re in our city, on our streets, borrowing a mate’s couch, or trying to keep warm on a cardboard mattress… I know you’ll agree this isn’t ok – especially not in our own backyard. So on Thursday 21 May we’re going to Sleep at the ’G to help end youth homelessness.
