TMS Consulting has announced plans to expand operations into Victoria.
Specialists in organisational capability and high performance cultures, TMS will look to open the doors of a new Melbourne office in 2014 following a year of strong growth in 2013.
TMS Chief Executive Officer, Helen Wood (pictured), who will head up the expansion to Melbourne, explained the company’s decision to expand its footprint into Victoria was driven by a combination of factors.
“We are obviously very excited about exploring the market in Victoria. The decision was part of TMS’s long term expansion strategy and following the success of the past two years, we felt the time was right to develop a presence there,” Wood said.
“We have a lot of confidence in the outlook for Victoria. The state had strong economic growth last year on the back of good governance and the announcement of some significant projects. We believe our services align well with what we are seeing there.”
Wood said that while she will head up the initial expansion, she will be dividing her time between Melbourne and the company’s head office in Brisbane to ensure existing clients are not disadvantaged.
Established in 2006 TMS worked primarily in the public sector but has over the last 5 years expanded considerably into the private sector. “TMS now works across Australia and internationally at all levels of government and also has a very strong presence in the private sector, particularly in creating high performance project teams.”

After just eight years the company has expanded from its Brisbane headquarters to have strong client bases in Western Australia, New South Wales and Papua New Guinea.
“We have had some excellent results over the last few years despite a dip in Australia’s economic confidence and we’ve achieved what we have through hard work and dedication to getting the best results for our clients,” said Wood. “Our clients value our relationship and this is evidenced through high levels of repeat business. We hope to match this success in Melbourne and regional Victoria.”
