Earlier this week CEO, Helen Wood, and Senior Consultant, Tal Levitas, visited the ‘Fitted For Work’ Victorian Charity to donate a suitcase packed to the rim with fabulous clothes (some practically brand new), along with a box full of shoes and a cash gift.
The volunteers at Fitted For Work were very happy to accept the donation and tagged some of the items straight away so that they were available for the next fitting session.
Fitted for work is an Australian not-for-profit that helps women experiencing disadvantage find and prepare for employment. Since their foundation in 2005, Fitted for Work has assisted more than 20,000 women by providing free personal outfitting, mentoring and skill development.
It is a special cause and one that TMS has been proud to support over the last six months through the fantastic volunteer work of Senior Consultant, Tal Levitas.
One Tuesday each month Tal visits the Fitted for Work National Office and Boutique in Melbourne, offering her professional experience and coaching expertise.
In her time there, Tal helps prepare women for interviews, providing advice on resumes, assisting with career coaching, building self-esteem and sometimes just listening. It is something she finds incredibly rewarding.
“Fitted for Work is a wonderful organisation that empowers women to take control of their lives and circumstances, and supports them to find their place back in the workplace (and society),” she says. “I love the opportunity Fitted for Work gives me to use my experience and skills to be part of the great work they do”.
