TMS Wears Red to Raise Awareness for Heart Research Australia

Red Day Red BackgroundHeart disease is the leading cause of death and disability in Australia. According to Heart Research Australia, heart disease touches 2 out of 3 Australian families.

To help raise awareness about heart disease TMS participated in Wear Red Day. The whole team wore red and we took time out to discuss how we make sure we have healthy hearts. We discussed Heart Research Australia’s 4-M Approach to a healthy heart:

+   Move: get moving and exercise regularly

+   Meals: eat well with good nutrition and smart portion sizes

+   Measurement: keep an eye on your health measurements such as cholesterol levels, blood pressure, and weight

+   Mental Approach: Have a positive state of mind and keep stress levels low to help protect against heart disease

We encourage you to take the time to consider what you can do to keep your heart healthy. If you would like to find out more about Heart Research Australia or Wear Red Day, visit https://www.heartresearch.com.au/wear-red-day/
